While attaining a diploma in business marketing, an ambitious Kavita Suri, began her career as a freelance makeup artist. With great foresight, Kavita saw opportunity in the South Asian market for a “Bridal” make-up artist. She understood that the bridal industry was lacking a make-up artist with the ability to fuse both eastern tradition and western trends. Kavita had found her platform.

Having completed her make-up and esthetics course study, Kavita fully engaged in this exciting industry, networking her way into Canada's first South Asian bridal magazine, Suhaag. This proved a worthwhile venture as Kavita became Suhaag's in house make-up artist, where she has maintained her position for the last nine years. While continuing to work with Suhaag, Kavita took on other endeavors, quickly growing acclaim within the industry. Management experience at Holt Renfrew's Estee Lauder counter, prepared Kavita for her position managing the sales of Vasanti Cosmetics. Vasanti, a Toronto based make-up line, brought Kavita on board, and quickly made her a Sales Representative at various Shopper's Drug Marts, and Rexall locations. She is also Asian Woman Canada's (AWC)  Magazine Beauty Editor, AWC is a well established Publication in the UK and now is making waves in Canada.

Gaining an endless amount of experience and knowledge within the cosmetics industry, encouraged Kavita's dedication. Having found her niche, Kavita strived forward, offering only the highest quality in service. Her fresh outlook and perspective ensuring her work was above and beyond the everyday mondane.

In 2000, Kavita’s passion and enterprising skills were recognized when she was awarded for “Business Woman of the Year”. An honour bestowed for excellence in service, and in appreciation of Kavita's time spent volunteering her skills to underprivileged children. Kavita has also hosted community events to raise money for worldwide relief funds, such as 2005's "Save the Children Canada". On July 24th 2009 at the Masala Mehndi Masti's People Choice Awards Kavita was awarded Favorite Make-up Artist!

Kavita Suri’s vision of high quality make up artistry and esthetics, has blossomed to become "Kavita Suri Spa". In operation for 3 successful years, Kavita Suri Spa's luxurious environment is located in the heart of Yorkville. Having her own spa has enabled Kavita to better service clients; providing comfort, indulgence and splendor, where one gets the very best in eyebrow designing and nail care.

Under high demand from women requesting Kavita to teach her make-up artistry skills, the Kavita Suri Beauty Academy was launched in 2008. Since then, Kavita has created personal workshops, including the hugely popular “One-on-One Make-up” certificate course. This individual course enables the student to walk away with a confident start to their portfolio, experience with a photoshoot, and a career path with Vasanti Cosmetics.

Kavita Suri envisions her business becoming internationally known, and is currently making waves to ensure that her dreams reality.
